Your esthetician asks about skin sensitivities, medications (like retinol or Accutane), and your comfort level. For Brazilians, you choose the style.
The area is cleansed and lightly powdered. We use premium hard wax applied warm (never hot) that grips hair without pulling skin.
Your esthetician works in small sections for precision and comfort. Brazilians take 15–20 minutes; bikini waxes under 15.
We apply a soothing serum to calm the skin, plus aftercare tips: avoid heat and tight clothing, exfoliate gently after 48 hours.
Hair length matters. Hair should be about 1/4 inch — roughly a grain of rice, usually 2–3 weeks after shaving. Too short and the wax can’t grip; too long and we’ll trim before starting.
Skip the retinol. Stop retinol, tretinoin, or exfoliating acids on the area 3–5 days before. They thin the skin and increase the risk of irritation or lifting.
Avoid sun and heat. No tanning, tanning beds, or hot tubs within 24 hours before. Heated or sunburned skin is more sensitive.
Wear comfortable clothing. For bikini and Brazilian waxes, loose cotton underwear and soft pants keep you comfortable afterward.
Exfoliate gently. A light exfoliation 1–2 days before helps the wax grip hair. Don’t scrub the day of — that can irritate skin.
Pain management. If you’re nervous about discomfort, take ibuprofen 30–45 minutes before. Our hard wax is already gentler than strip wax, but this takes the edge off for first-timers.
Hydrate. Well-hydrated skin is more elastic and handles waxing better. Drink water and moisturize in the days leading up (but not the day of).
Relax. Your esthetician does this every day. You’re in good hands, and it’s faster than you think.
